There was lots of smoke from the fire in Yosemite. Young coyote observed on trail. Great for wildflowers and looking up at Mount Morrison, also Known as The Great White Fang, at 12,226' elevation. Wonderful experience, easy drive with plenty of parking. At the back of the lake, there is a boardwalk that crosses the creek.

This review is only for the boat rentals at the Convict lake resort. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from June until September. Convict Lake loop hike is very easy and only takes around 2 hours but you should try to avoid going in the middle of the day when the sun shines right down on you.

There is a second way to get to the same area via an SUV road to Laurel Lakes. The north side of the lake is exposed and sunny, while the west end has an aspen forest, with a long boardwalk to cover the inlet streams.
