As far as I know the sound is absolutely amazing although I am having trouble simulating a P-bass tone even with extensive Line6 tones. The controls aren't the most complicated I've seen, but I don't know why bass designers think that it should be more complicated than 1 Volume for neck pickup, 1 Volume for bridge pickup, and 1 Tone knob.
