The bed is 2/3 mattress and 1/3 straight up wood, but I find that if you just put a couple pillows over the wood no one even notice! Now, the Fagelbo is a rare gem that can only find at secondhand places since it’s a discontinued IKEA sofa model! There is a downside though, according to some Beddinge owners online, you might come across some mechanical issues with the reclining mechanism if you’ve had the Beddinge sofabed for a while but I guess that’s something everyone experiences from time to time over the years. No warning on the product that the legs may stain the carpet. I believe the coated fabric on it is a Faux leather and the coating is to give it a more shiny finish and feel. when it converts to a "bed", one-third of the mattress is pure wood.

I'm unsure of the size of my future room that I'm soon moving into. it is the worst sofa-bed on the planet and shame on IKEA for selling garbage like this. We feel betrayed by our friends at IKEA but have decided to keep the couch anyways for necessity. The Solsta Sofa bed is still available at IKEA, with a depth of 78 cm and a width of 137 cm width. For example, a foldout sofa bed requires free space in front of the sofa, or at least space that can easily be cleared. The Holmsund is one of IKEA’s newer sofa bed models, with throw pillows and wedged arms.
We’re not going to lie and say that you’ll have the best night’s sleep on an IKEA sofa bed.
