The Cliftonian Society (OCS) is the society for the alumni of Clifton College, Bristol - whether pupils or staff The Close - the grass in front of the school (inc. big and little side pitches), The Grubber - the school stationers (historically, the school tuck shop), The Huntsman - Vice Captain of the School Cross Country Team, The Pens - School cross country races (long pen and short pen), Yearlings - the youngest year in the (upper) school, HM9 - Nicholas Geoffrey Lempriere Hammond, 1863 - 195 (including the new junior school). Each person is allocated a unique and consecutive school number - and for masters and headmasters the number is prefixed with either an M or HM as appropriate. Welcome to the Old Cliftonian Society Website The OCS supporting the school - June 2020 The Executive Committee has decided to make £100,000 of the OCS reserves available to the school in 2020/21, specifically to enable Cliftonians entering Years 11 and 13 in September to complete their GCSE and A Level courses in 2021, in cases of severe financial need. The Guest of Honour will be the Deputy Grand Master, R.W. Sports
