Samsung claims to have a nice feature that allows you to take a picture of your television on your wall to make it blend in seamlessly. I use Netflix, Spectrum App, and Vudu for 4K streaming and it is awesome! The HDR levels on this TV is insane!! They’re not entirely bad, but Samsung was misleading with what this technology can and cannot do. Always was a Roku guy to handle my streaming services as I felt that was the ‘best’ in the game, especially for the price. So you’re either stuck with the blackness of a television turned off OR with the stock photos they have. Even the uniformity on my 10 year old Samsung didn’t have these issues. The Sony panel is near flawless with no banding, no yellow spots and barely any dirt screen affect. You really have a sense of what the scene wants you to feel. This TV has met my expectations, and is perfect for my purpose. The uniformity is so bad, it ruins everything...gaming, movies, netflix and even the simple settings menus look bad. This should priced at the $1,300-$1,600 range in my opinion and probably closer to that lower end spectrum. The 2018 Q8 surprisingly has very similar contrast levels of the LG OLEDs and the Sony OLEDs, and that's saying a ton because OLEDs uses self illuminating pixels to create infinite contrast levels.
