I just made this Beef Burrito Soup and it was a hit! Can you update to add where/when they are use. Saute for about 5 minutes and then add the herbs, salt, bay leaves and rice. I did get caught up singing Christmas songs along with Pandora and accidentally added the entire packet of taco seasoning versus only 3 tablespoons which made my soup a bit salty. THANKS! Or if you really want that "jammy consistency," which I can't imagine the purpose of, cook the beans separately from the rest and add them after they are fully cooked. I had long grain, so used it. I added Frito chips and shredded sharp cheddar cheese to mine before eating. Bring this to a boil, then cover and simmer for about 25-30 minutes until the rice is done. I make taco soup and this would be similar. They also use roasted garlic. But what I did make with what I had on hand was delicious. If you want to add a warm casserole, try our easy jiffy corn casserole.
