I received one of these last thursday and have been dialing it in since yesterday...I must admit that thing feels a lot like the old yamahas's I had back in the 80's...I bought this to replace another asian/American made guitar that I really wanted to like but ended up selling because there wasn't that inevitable bond with it..this I believe will be a different...The wrap bridge is something that takes a little getting use too,stringing,feel,ect...has a nice resonance from neck to body and I like the radius and being able to have a straighter neck...it has a quality feel and neck is really like the old 80's mij yamahas...Pickups are really not to shabby and feel no need to change them (kind of shocked)...this is getting played through Dr z amps (maz 18,carmen ghia)...The maz is a nice combo...I myself have been kind of looking for that "cheapskate connoisseur" bargain for the money, something I can take to jams,ect...I think ive found it (them) in the Yamaha line...fit and finish is descent...although the satin- steel wooled finish takes some getting use too as well...if you looking to polish and shine this thing,meh...put your time in enjoying playing it cause it really does sound pretty darn good...thx riley.
Seriously it's a great guitar, I bought a demo model and in person can't find the blemishes shown in the pro pictures. I will alter the electronics a bit down the road, but all in all a fine instrument. Add in the ‘dry’ push/pull pot for some slightly brighter and thinner single coil type sounds and you’ve got quite the flexible little guitar. The "hand cut" top is really nice looking, I've seen $1000 guitars with this type of finish that look and feel horrible in comparison. Here at Andertons Music Co. we believe that we stock some of the best musical equipment in the world. Some minor issues include wobbly tone and volume knobs, and the guitar does not stay in tune.
The 'H' stands for humbucker. Along with a medium c-shape neck, a rosewood fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets ensure a smooth playability. The fretwork was immaculate on mine, nut cut perfectly, and the overall fit and finish was top notch. }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')).

And if the ‘Steel Rust’ isn’t your thing, the RS 820CR also comes in a colour called ‘Rusty Rat’, which is more of a grey/silver vibe. Iv played for longer than I care to remember, and over the years spent Thousands of $ on instruments, genuinely i don't remember owning anything that was "better" than this 620. the quality is top-notch it feels well build and the fit and finish is as good as my $2400 Fender, i have owned a little Yamaha acoustics FG (made in china) for WELL over a decade and will never part with it, way too many travels, memories, and experiences, its a true friend, So i wonder why I didn't try a Yam electric before now, I had/have Fender and PRS and loved them especially the build quality of the PRS but honestly, I would put this $700 Yamaha right there with it?
